Before founding BankiFi, Mark Hartley has held a wide range of general management, sales, innovation and strategy roles in the technology industry for the financial services segment since the early nineties in the APAC region and Europe, most recently at Clear2Pay and FIS. His vision around open payments lead to the creation of the Open Payment Hub, the ‘stable’ product that lead to the acquisition of the company in 2014 by FIS. A renowned innovator and thought leader on the subject of Payments & Open Banking, he served as strategic Advisor to the Board of Nationwide Building Society.
Founding partner Conny Dorrestijn has worked in the international financial technology industry in a wide range of marketing and business development roles, most recently at FIS. Speaking frequently at international events such as BAI, EBA and Money2020 on Open Banking, Payments and Fintech innovation, she is a non-Executive Board Member at Blanco Services, an Advisory Board Member to Holland FinTech, Arches Capital, AdviceRobo, Associate of the Digital Insurance Agenda (DIA) and a Global Innovation Awards Judge at BAI (US). Her Advisory Board position at Money2020 Europe’s Rise Up programme and mentorship at The Global Give Back Circle are evidence of her ‘FemTech’ drive to encourage young girls and women to step up to an independent – financial – life through education, a safe home and traineeships.
Kirk Winstanley has spent his entire career supporting businesses to improve and grow, both in large corporates, as well as in a number of his own ventures. He lead the tech infrastructure fit-out of a new bank in Spain, was the technology lead of the implementation of Faster Payments in a UK bank, opened up new region for a change consultancy, and met some of the BankiFi leadership during his years as the Client Delivery Lead at Clear2Pay. His focus on the ‘how’ and keen interest in building and growing teams make him a key team member both inside the company as well as on the client side.
Chris Fry manages all matters finance and is a chartered accountant having qualified in 1990 with Price Waterhouse. From 2001 until 2018 he was a partner with KPMG, where he specialised in corporate taxation, mainly in the area of tax structuring and mergers and acquisitions across a range of national and regional roles. He was office senior partner in Liverpool for 7 years prior to his retirement from the firm in April 2018. Chris is also a non-executive member of the board of a north west BPO business and is on the board of the Liverpool Local Enterprise Partnership.
The thread that has run throughout her career so far will be the core focus for Marijke Koninckx' role at BankiFi as well: helping companies to better understand complex market and customer requirements and translate that into a successful product and go to market strategy. She most recently worked as Product Manager on Real-time Payments and Open Banking. Marijke is a key contributor to the PSD2 industry working groups such as Open Transaction Alliance, CAPS and Open Banking Working Group.
Aleksa Vukotic heads up the BankiFi technology team and is responsible for the overall technology vision and design of the core platform and value add solutions. With a very relevant background in designing and building micro services over the past ten years, most recently at a large UK bank, where he helped deliver Open Banking APIs. He is a published author (Neo 4j) in Action, Manning; Pro Spring 2.5 and Apache Tomcat 7, in addition to regularly speaking at technology meetups.
Since 1980, Jim Greene has been serving the global financial services industry, working in leadership roles with Accenture, Cap Gemini, Cisco whilst also investing in, creating and incubating (fin)tech companies. He recently founded Sky D Ventures providing advisory services to financial services incumbents and disruptors, PE and VCs in FinTech and technology companies. A frequent speaker at industry events, he also hosts executive conferences to Silicon Valley, the base for his global activities. He is a Member of the Board and Advisory Board Member to a range of private and public companies.
